We Reached Our First Goal ! And We’re Still Growing!

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we successfully raised $4,000 (our first goal) for funding hoop houses at Seeds of Change, Native Plant Nursery.

Join us this National Pollinator month as we expand our goal to $8,000.

This new reach will allow us to support additional nursery infrastructure including shade tarps, greenhouse benches, and weed barriers that will help us grow more native plants year-round for pollinators, conservation projects, and workforce development programs.

Since relocating our Seeds of Change Native Plant Nursery to Holly Hills in Glenwood, MD, we’ve envisioned expanding the space into a thriving, year-round hub for native plant production, pollinator habitat, conservation projects, and workforce development training.

We hit our first milestone, and we’re still growing!

Thanks to the incredible support of our community this National Pollinator Month, we officially surpassed our original $4,000 goal, raising over $6,200 in just the first two weeks of our campaign! Because of your generosity, Howard EcoWorks will be able to complete our new hoop houses at Holly Hills.

We are now raising funds for our 2nd goal of $8,000 to support additional infrastructure needs such as shade tarps, greenhouse benches, and weed barriers.

Now, we’re asking for your help to take the next step by doubling our goal to $8,000.

Surpassing this new milestone will help fund the next phase of critical infrastructure improvements for the hoop houses, including:

  • Shade tarps to help regulate temperatures and protect our plants during extreme summer heat.

  • Greenhouse benches to improve plant organization, airflow, accessibility, and overall growing capacity.

  • Weed barrier installation to reduce maintenance needs and create cleaner, more efficient growing spaces.

Seeds of Change goes beyond the cultivation of plants. We also grow community. Our native plant nursery drives local conservation efforts, offers quality plants for public purchase, and empowers workforce development participants with hands-on training in nursery management and practice gardens.

While we are celebrating our early success, the campaign will continue throughout the month of June. Every donation directly supports these essential additions, helping us grow more native plants year-round, expand pollinator habitat, and invest in the next generation of environmental stewards.
