About the event
Alternative Spring Break is an annual volunteer event hosted by Howard EcoWorks. It runs during Howard County Public School System's scheduled Spring Break, and offers a chance for students and adults to engage in public service.
Activities range from tree planting, forest management, and rain garden maintenance. Locations are areas that Howard EcoWorks has partnered with and identified a critical need for clean up. This is a great opportunity to gain volunteer hours, experience with environmental stewardship, and help your local community.
These activities are recommended for ages 8 and up. You may bring small children, but they must be supervised by their adult, and keep in mind that the work may not be appropriate for them.
