READY (Restoring the Environment and Developing Youth)

is a summer employment program for young adults ages 16-25 from Howard County.  READY participants construct and maintain stormwater best management practices to help improve watershed health.

READY participants are trained in the design and installation of green stormwater practices such as rain gardens, conservation landscapes and more! They receive job skills training as well as learn about local and regional environmental issues.

READY participants must...

... be Howard County residents

... be between the ages of 16-25  years old as of July 1, 2020

... work outside performing moderate physical labor

... have a good attitude and care about the environment

Participants also receive Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional-Associate Training and Certificate!
