ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK

Have fun and make new friends while helping the environment

WHY?

  • Give back to the community​

  • Help protect and restore the environment​

  • Get service hours​​

  • Learn about environmental issues and what you can do​

  • Experience what it's like to be on the Summer READY program

WHAT?

  • Plant propagation and potting

  • General maintenance of rain gardens

  • Invasive species removal​

  • Planting trees​

  • You'll also:​

    • Be directed by an experienced Crew Leader​

    • Receive safety training related to tools and work habits​

WHEN?

  • Alternative Spring Break is from 9am to 3pm. The day will be broken up into two sessions: 9am-11:30am and 12:30-3pm​

  • You may chose to join us either for a session, the whole day, or join us for multiple days


     

Requirements

  • All ages welcomed​

  • Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult ​

  • A good attitude and interest in the environment​

  • Willing and able to work outside performing moderate physical activity
